The sponsor of E-Sign, the enabling legislation for electronic signatures, talked about Voice Signatures on the senate floor when the bill was being finalized. Senator Spencer Abraham said "The spoken words of the signature might be something like 'I Jane Consumer hereby sign and agree to this loan document and notice of interest charges'."
